MENDOTA – The Mendota District 289 School board met last night for their monthly meeting, and although current negotiations with the striking teachers was not on the agenda, members of the community did speak out on how they felt about the labor dispute. No formal announcement was made on when the two sides would come back together as the strike continues, keeping students out of school for an eighth day.
