PRINCETON – A Spring Valley man accused of killing his girlfriend is scheduled for pre-trial on Wednesday. 37-year-old Eddie L. Mentgen, charged with first degree murder for his alleged involvement in the April homicide of 28-year-old Marissa Roberts. In August, Mentgen waived his rights to a speedy trial, serving 213 days in custody before his trial. Mentgen will have his pre-trial hearing at 1:30 p.m. at the Bureau County Courthouse. He pleads not guilty.
