PERU – Peru Police responded to Illinois Valley Community Hospital Tuesday night after a woman entered the hospital with a gunshot wound. Authorities say the 20-year-old woman suffered a gunshot wound to the upper body on the west side of Peru, but the injuries are not life threatening. The crime scene is under police guard pending the execution of a search warrant.
