OTTAWA – Defense attorneys in the trial of a man accused of drowning his wife have called a second forensic pathologist to the stand to testify. 52-year-old Kenneth Cusick is accused of drowning his wife Tracy in a toilet in 2016. In 2017 Dr. Shaku Teas was asked to make an extensive evaluation of both autopsies performed, medical records, police records and even video interviews. On Thursday morning at the LaSalle County Courthouse, Dr. Teas mentions Tracy’s history of alleged depression, drug treatments, possible bipolar disorder and a suicide attempt in 1987 via North Central Behavioral Health records. Teas also believes the injuries found on Tracy in the exhumation autopsy, like the fracture in her larynx and various bruising was either post mortem, body decomposition or intubation when EMS attempted to revive her.
