OTTAWA – Attorneys gave their finals arguments Friday morning in the trial of a former Ottawa fireman accused of drowning his wife. The prosecution claims 52-year-old Kenneth Cusick is responsible for the murder of his wife Tracy in 2006. The LaSalle County States Attorney’s say although Tracy had substances in her system, the scientific and circumstantial findings points to the drowning in the toilet as an accident impossible. Defense attorneys say Cusick had no real motive to murder his late wife while his two children were inside the house. The jury is expected to deliberate the case this afternoon at the LaSalle County Courthouse.
