STREATOR – The American Legion in Streator is to be awarded a facade grant on Wednesday. The city council plans to award just over $12,000 to the American Legion to make some replacements and installations. A special mural is also planned to depict military heroes. Artist Eugene Davis, who created the mural for Veteran’s Wall at City Park in 2014 is expected to take on the project. He says the mural will take around 60 days to make.
