Missing Ottawa woman’s belongings found down stream on Illinois River

Tina M. Donovan – Photo Ottawa Police Department

OTTAWA – Conservation police say the search for a missing Ottawa woman could encompass a wide area after authorities located belongings near the Starved Rock Lock and Dam. According to Conservation Police Sergeant Phil Wire, the investigation continues using sonar equipment and drag hooks on the possibility that 45-year-old Tina M. Donovan ended up in the water. Wire believes if that is the case, the investigation could turn into a long river search as far downstream as Peoria. Donovan’s vehicle was found Tuesday at Starved Rock Lodge. If anyone had any information regarding the whereabouts of Donovan contact the Ottawa Police Department.
