House mourns 18 month old’s death and hears call for Domestic Violence Task Force

SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois House of Representatives adopted a resolution on Tuesday and introduced a bill that would create a domestic violence task force. The House Resolution is in honor of 18-month-old Colton Micheal Miller who was fatally shot by his father in late September in Joliet. Sponsor, State Representative David Welter spoke on the house floor and introduced a new bill that would establish a framework for specialized protective networks for victims as well as treatment options for victims and offenders.
