MENDOTA -Mendota Civic Center hosted its first Mother and Son dance over the weekend. Third Ward Alderman Kyle Kim said at the Monday night Mendota city council meeting that the Hawaiian Luau themed dance was a great success with around 50 boys and their mothers attending on Saturday night. The Civic Center’s 14th annual Father and Daughter dance took place over the weekend as well, with around 175 girls attending with their fathers on Friday.
