Marseilles woman charged for making false report

MARSEILLES – A woman is charged after allegedly making a false report about an alleged “armed officer” last week in Marseilles. According to the Marseilles Police Department, 34-year-old Fallon Crass of Marseilles is charged with disorderly conduct for allegedly making a false report to officers last week for an incident she allegedly knew never occurred. On Tuesday of last week, police say Crass reported that an “armed officer” approached her front door on Clark Street warning her of a noise complaint and then got into a black SUV, traveling westbound. Marseilles Chief Brian Faber says the class 4 felony is punishable by up to three years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
