OTTAWA – Plans for the city of Ottawa’s river crossing lift station is flowing in the right direction. On Tuesday night council purchased the 511 Illinois Avenue property, adjacent to where the river lift station is expected to be. Mayor Dan Aussem says he anticipates for the project to begin sometime in the spring and last around eight months.
