OTTAWA – A Streator woman is dead and one other is injured after a two-vehicle crash near Marseilles on Wednesday. According to the LaSalle County Coroner’s Office 55-year-old Lori A. Szafranski of Streator died after losing control on an icy roadway on East 22nd road in Fall River Township. Police say Szfranski’s vehicle began to spin and was allegedly struck by another vehicle driven by 25-year-old Ronald F. Soderstrom of Danville. Soderstrom was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries. The accident is under further investigation by the LaSalle County Sheriffs Office and the Illinois State Police.
