DIXON – A Sterling man was arrested Tuesday after a reported foot chase in Dixon while carrying around 1/2 pound of purported cocaine. According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, they located 33-year-old Christopher Cornell at a gas station around 2:20 AM. Cornell allegedly attempted to flee but was apprehended. It was discovered during the investigation he was in possession of what the police say was 256 grams of Cocaine. He was charged with three felonies, including a Class X Felony for Possession with Intent to Deliver. He was taken to the Lee County Jail and is being held on a $250,000 bond.
