MURPHYSBORO – 128 new cases of COVID-19 have emerged since yesterday, according to officials. This brings the number of positive cases to 288 in 17 counties in the state of Illinois. At a daily news conference from Murphysboro, Illinois Department of Public Health Director Dr. Ngozi Ezike said, the grim truth is that numbers will continue to significantly grow as well as fatalities. Governor JB Pritzker says no one and no place is immune from COVID_19. Officials are urging the public to continue staying indoors and help the elderly in your communities, as long term care facilities are most vulnerable.
