DIXON – All results are negative so far in the latest 33 results of COVID-19 testing in Lee County, with 103 test results still pending. Lee County Emergency Management officials emphasize they are still operating under the belief that there are unconfirmed cases in the county. Two confirmed cases have been reported in Winnebago county. The University of Illinois Extension office is attempting to gather a list of skilled individuals that could be deployed during the current crisis. These might be medical personnel, laborers, seamstresses, local food producers, etc. This list will be shared with local emergency management, health departments and hospitals as requested. KSB Hospital in Dixon is exploring the use of retired nurses and physicians to supplement current staff. Retired nurses and physicians are asked to contact KSB Hospital Human Resource. Drive thru testing in Dixon by appointment for COVID-19 resumes Monday.
