MENDOTA- No injuries were reported after a house fire Thursday night near Mendota. Around 11 PM Mendota and Troy Grove Fire were called to the 4100 block of East 50th Road for a report of a structure fire with smoke. The fire was extinguished after damaging the living room, bathroom and laundry room. Mendota Fire Chief Dennis Rutishauser said early Friday that estimated damages are around $75,000. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
