Bureau County records first death related to COVID-19

PRINCETON- The Illinois Department of Public Health on Tuesday confirmed the death of a man in Bureau County related to COVID-19.   The man in his 90’s was one of the 176 deaths announced by the IDPH.    Bureau County still has had 12 infections since the pandemic began.

The Bureau, Putnam and Marshall County Health Departments reported Sunday that two residents of Bureau County over the weekend tested positive for COVID-19. The man in his 60’s and a man in his 40’s are both in isolation recovering at home. There have now been sixteen confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the counties served by the Bureau, Putnam and Marshall County Health Departments. Bureau County has had twelve confirmed cases. Marshall County has had four confirmed cases. Putnam County has no confirmed cases. The first case was reported in Marshall County on March 23rd.
