OGLESBY – Work is underway to complete the 6,000-square-foot metal building south of the Illinois Valley Community College campus that will house the ag program equipment. Vissering Construction workers reinforced the frame of the phase 1 building. The foundation was poured last week. The building will house a tractor, planter, tiller and other high-tech implements used by ag program students and instructors. Phase two of the agriculture complex is a 6,800-square-foot Agriculture Center complete with a soils lab, classroom/computer lab, conference room, student collaborative space and more. The college hopes to have the entire complex complete by 2022.
