SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Department of Public Health has announced 111 new deaths in Illinois, and 2,325 new confirmed cases. Public Health officials say the deaths range from a man in his 20s to two women in their 100s. 95 of the deaths were in the Chicagoland area, the overwhelming majority of the statewide total. Closer to home, though, Illinois public health officials Saturday tabulated the two LaSalle Countians that local authorities previously disclosed on Friday, a woman in her 60s and a man in his 80s. Also announced Saturday was the death of a DeKalb County man in his 60s. Since March, over 3,300 Illinoisans with Covid-19 have died.
