OTTAWA – The LaSalle County Health Department announced on Saturday two new confirmed Covid-19 cases, a man in his 40’s and a man in his 50’s. That makes 119 for the county since the pandemic was declared in March, though 55 have since recovered. Both of the two new cases are in isolation, according to the health department.
According to zip code level data from the Illinois Department of Public Health, the Marseilles zip code has the most in the county, with 31 cases, the Sheridan area has 17 cases, Ottawa 16, the Mendota zip code has 15, and Peru is next, with 6. Seven LaSalle Countians have died from the disease since March.
