LASALLE – The Chief of the LaSalle Police Department has announced he will be retiring.    Chief Robert Uranich stated in a letter to the city that his last day will be July 15th.   After 31 years of service, he has chosen to retire at the age of 55.

“I have had the privilege to work with him for 18 years.” said Mayor Jeff Grove Thursday, “It’s bittersweet.  I consider Chief a good friend and even better person, so I am happy for him in that regard, but he will also be missed as Chief.”

Uranich was appointed Police Chief in 2004.
