PERU – Multiple fire departments returned to a home in Dimmick Township Tuesday, days after a fire Thursday night. Crews were called around 11AM to the 400 block on North 35th Road after a contractor noticed smoke. According to Peru Fire Chief Jeff King, the cause of the smoke appeared to be from damaged wiring from the first blaze, as power was trying to be restored to the residence. No injuries were reported.
