MORRIS – A Channahon man is dead after a crash on I-80 Sunday afternoon. Authorities say 35-year-old Nathan Oliver Carrol was traveling eastbound near Morris when for unknown reasons he lost control and went down, sliding over 300 feet. The Grundy County Coroner’s Office say he was pronounced dead at the scene around 3:30 PM. Officials say Carrol was wearing a helmet. The crash is still under investigation.
