MENDOTA – The show will go on, however, it will be a week after the holiday and with limited parking. The Mendota Chamber of Commerce announced Monday that the fireworks, scheduled for 9:30 PM around Lake Mendota on July 11th, will be limited to just 350 vehicles. They also ask no more than 10 per parking area, and for people to stay within their grouping. There will be no concessions, and visitors are asked to bring their own snacks and non-alcohol drinks. The Mendota Lions Club will be selling corn dogs that night nearby. There will be restrooms available, and room around your parking spot for blankets and chairs. Bug spray is also highly recommended. Parking for the event will begin at 7 PM.
