Livingston County WIC program changing to EBT cards

Photo USDA

PONTIAC – The Livingston County supplemental nutrition program for women, infants, and children will be moving from paper checks to benefit cards.   The Livingston County Health Department announces that the EBT cards will streamline the assistance process.  Each household will be issued one Illinois WIC EBT card, sometimes referred to as eWIC, with all the food benefits on this one card. This will eliminate the handling of multiple checks for different family members. The LCHD WIC Clinic will be closed August 10th and 11th as staff prepare for this transition.

Additionally, the income guidelines for WIC eligibility have been updated for July, 2020 through June, 2021.
