OTTAWA – The LaSalle County Health Department reports eight new cases of Covid-19 on Saturday, while the Bureau, Marshall & Putnam Counties Health Department reports two new cases in the past day. Cases continue to climb in Illinois, as the Illinois Department of Public Health reports nearly 1,300 cases in the past 24 hours, while 18 people have died. Testing was at an all time high for Illinois, with over 46,000 tests performed, and the number of positive cases for the state is reaching levels not seen since late May, however the 7 day average of daily deaths remain at the fewest fatalities seen since March.
