SPRINGFIELD – Illinois Department of Public Health announced on Thursday that new cases of Covid-19 have hit a 2 month high. Thursday, the state announced 1772 new cases, the highest daily case total since May 24th. Deaths so far and maintaining a relative low rate. Only 18 people in the past 24 hours have been reported to have died to the state on Thursday, including 2 in DeKalb County.
