Over 2,000 new COVID-19 cases reported in Illinois


SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Department of Public Health announced that 30 counties in the state, including Bureau, are at a warning level for coronavirus. The IDPH states that a county enters a warning level when two or more COVID-19 risk indicators increase, such as number of deaths, clusters, and new cases per 100,000 people. The health department also reported 2,149 new cases in the state with 20 deaths, for a total of 229,483 cases and 7,997 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
