SPRINGFIELD – 1,668 new COVID-19 cases were announced in Illinois on Monday, along with 7 additional deaths. These deaths include a male in his 40’s from Bureau County. Since the start of the pandemic, Illinois has reported over 235,000 cases, including 8,026 deaths. Over the past 24 hours, the IDPH have processed 47,379 specimens for a 3.5% positivity rate.
