PERU – The identity of the possible victim of the multi-state truck driver serial killer remains a mystery, as authorities are examining bones found during the search Wednesday of a property on May Road near Peru. Convicted murderer Dellmus Colvin recalled the night around fifteen years ago when the woman, whom he described as being white with dishwater blonde hair and a black eye, was allegedly soliciting drivers in the parking lot of a truck stop in LaSalle. He said he was doing paperwork when she knocked on his door multiple times. Colvin described in detail how he reportedly ended her life and left her nude body near a closed Truck Wash in a phone interview on a podcast hosted by Phil Chalmers titled “Where the Bodies are Buried”. LaSalle County detectives on Wednesday said there were no reports of any missing women locally that seemed to match the description the 61-year-old Ohio prison inmate gave.  Another search of the area is planned for September 9th, according to LaSalle County Sheriff Tom Templeton.  Colvin is serving a life sentence for the murder of 7 women, and has claimed to have killed dozens more across the USA.
