DeKalb man arrested after advertising on social media that he had drugs for sale

DEKALB – A DeKalb man was arrested during an investigation into drug sales after allegedly posting online that he had drugs for sale. The city of DeKalb Targeted Response Unit Detectives say that 30-year-old Eric T. Hughes was spotted in a vehicle on Hillcrest Drive, and after making contact with him, they noticed an odor of alleged cannabis coming from the vehicle. After a search of his vehicle and person they located purported ecstasy pills, cannabis, and allegedly a loaded handgun under the driver’s seat. Hughes was charged with multiple counts of drug and weapon offenses. He was taken to the DeKalb County Jail with bond yet to be set.
