SPRINGFIELD – Just over 3,000 more cases of COVID-19 were reported Thursday by the Illinois Department of Public Health, along with 32 additional coronavirus related deaths. That is the highest daily case count the state has seen since September 4th, when processing a backlog of tests. In total, the IDPH has reported 310,700 cases since the start of the pandemic and 8,910 deaths.
