OTTAWA – LaSalle County reported 36 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday and 15 newly recovered individuals. The total number of persons considered recovered from the novel coronavirus in the county now stands at 1,473. Illinois’ public health director is urging residents to celebrate the holidays with limited activities and greater precautions because of the persistence of COVID-19. Dr. Ngoze Ezike said people who are sick should not attend celebrations at all.
