Another Record COVID Case Day For Illinois on Friday

SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Department of Public Health for the second straight day said the state has now broken its one day novel coronavirus case record.  4,554 new cases have been reported statewide in the past 24 hours, topping yesterday’s record 4,015 deaths.  Statewide, the IDPH says 38 additional coronavirus deaths were reported.  Locally, the LaSalle County Health Department said on Friday that a woman in her 90’s died from the virus. In the past 24 hours, 28 new coronavirus  infections have been reported in LaSalle County.
The LaSalle County cases on Friday include:

• Male, youth < 13
• Female, youth < 13
• Male, teen
• (2) Females, 20’s
• (3) Males, 30’s
• (3) Females, 30’s
• Male, 40’s
• (4) Females, 40’s
• (2) Males, 50’s
• Female, 50’s
• (2) Males, 60’s
• Male, 70’s
• (4) Females, 70’s
• Male, 80’s
• Female, 80’s
New Recovered Cases 30. Total recovered cases 1529.
Statewide, the IDPH reported on Friday the following deaths by age and county of residence:
Christian County: 1 female 80s, 1 female 90s
• Clay County: 1 female 50s, 1 female 80s
• Cook County: 1 female 40s, 3 male 50s, 1 female 70s, 2 females 80s, 1 male 80s
• DuPage County: 1 male 70s, 1 female 90s
• Fayette County: 1 male 80s
• Ford County: 1 female 80s, 1 male 90s
• Jefferson County: 1 male 60s, 1 female 90s
• JoDaviess County: 1 male 80s, 1 male 90s
• Lake County: 1 male 70s, 1 female 90s
• Lawrence County: 1 male 70s
• Madison County: 1 male 60s, 1 male 70s
• McHenry County: 1 female 60s
• Ogle County: 1 male 70s
• Richland County: 1 female 70s, 1 female 90s
• Rock Island County: 1 male 60s
• Sangamon County: 1 female 80s
