OTTAWA – The combination of high winds and low humidity will put North Central Illinois under a red flag warning for fire. With plenty of acres of fields still waiting to be harvested, it is advised that no burning of any type should be done. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph will make for dangerous conditions if a fire were to occur. The warning is expected to continue through Saturday evening.
