SHERIDAN – A Sheridan man is dead after what authorities are calling a freak car deer crash Friday morning.  The Grundy County Coroner said that a vehicle traveling south on Route 71 near North 47th road struck a deer which sent the animal airborne into a northbound vehicle driven by 53-year-old Christopher T. Daly of Sheridan.   The deer reportedly went through the windshield and caused serious injuries to Daly.   He was taken to Morris Hospital where he later passed away.  The crash remains under investigation by Grundy County Coroner’s office and the Illinois State Police.
