OTTAWA – A female in her 70s is the latest COVID-19 related death, the LaSalle County Health Department confirmed. This is the 71st coronavirus related death in the county since the start of the pandemic. 90 new additional cases were also reported by the health department. This is the highest daily case count LaSalle County has reported. Statewide, the Illinois Department of Public Health reported 6,516 new cases of COVID-19, with 68 additional deaths, the highest daily death toll since June.
