OGLESBY – Illinois Valley Community College have announced agriculture transfer agreements with Illinois State University and Southern Illinois University.
They say that with these agreements, IVCC students can pursue and complete an Associate of Applied Science degree in Agronomy or Agricultural Business Management and transfer to ISU or SIU to complete a bachelor’s degree in agriculture.
IVCC ag program co-coordinators Willard Mott and Kathryn Seebruck are excited for the impact the agreements will have on IVCC students.
Mott said, “These agreements mean students pursuing traditional, non-transfer career degrees can now seamlessly transfer and finish a bachelor’s degree in agriculture at a major university.”
“These agreements provide more versatility for students who may be undecided on whether they want to transfer after two years at IVCC,” Seebruck added.
Former IVCC students holding an AAS in agriculture also can take advantage of this new agreement.
