SPRING VALLEY – An area cat has found herself the center of attention in a viral ‘Star Wars’ internet video. Gabe Leonard and his girlfriend, Lacey McNelis, filmed their five-month-old kitten Maple batting the TV screen during a viewing of ‘The Rise of Skywalker’. The black kitten pounces as a lightsaber is tossed across the screen in an attempt to catch it. The clip was uploaded onto TikTok, where it was later posted on Twitter and eventually shared by actor Mark Hamill, famous for playing hero Luke Skywalker. McNelis said Monday that the clip has been viewed over 3.5 million times.
