STREATOR – Streator Township High School District 40 is noting they will be receiving a 13.82% increase in cash for the district in the next year, an additional $859,066.41. Superintendent Matt Seaton said the increase in tax revenue from the new windmills east of Streator will actually cause a lower tax rate for all property owners in Streator. He also said that residents can expect a lower tax rate for the High School portion for 2021.
