OTTAWA – The first doses of the Pfizer vaccine have been delivered to the three hospitals in LaSalle County this week. In a joint statement, the organizations said that they will begin vaccinating their front-line workers over the next few days. The LaSalle County Health Department continues to urge all residents, for the health and safety of the community, to continue wearing face-coverings, practice social distancing, wash your hands and to remain home if you are ill.
“We have a plan in place to immediately start vaccinating our emergency department staff and other critical workers,” said Jennifer Sines, IVCH pharmacy director. “This is a big first step in getting the COVID pandemic under control locally.”
