STREATOR – No injuries were reported after an oven fire Wednesday in Streator. Around 3:30 PM the Streator Fire Department were called to the 700 block of South Monroe Street. All residents of the single story home had evacuated the structure, and it took crews about 5 minutes to extinguish the blaze. The cause of the fire was deemed accidental. Authorities say the kitchen suffered considerable heat and smoke damage. The rest of the home suffered moderate smoke damage.
