OTTAWA – 6 new COVID-19 related deaths were confirmed in LaSalle County, now totaling 233 since the pandemic began. The individuals were a female in her 70’s, a male and female in their 80’s, and a male and two females in their 90’s. The LaSalle County Health Department reported 103 new cases of coronavirus and 86 new recovered cases as well. The county has seen, in total 8,378 cases with 5,584 of those now recovered. The LCHD also announced that they had received their second shipment of the COVID-19 vaccine on Monday, which was provided to county hospitals, as well as the Illinois Veteran’s Home in LaSalle.
