Red Cross teams with NFL to urge blood donation during National Blood Donor Month

OTTAWA – The American Red Cross has partnered with the NFL during National Blood Donor Month to not only help save lives, but give those donors a chance to win tickets to next year’s Super Bowl in Los Angeles. They are also asking those that have recovered from COVID-19 to donate to tackle a convalescent plasma shortage. Upcoming blood donation events will take place Tuesday in Mendota at the Moose Lodge from 10:45 AM – 5 PM and Thursday in Earlville at the Lutheran Church from 1 PM – 6 PM. Appointments are recommended by visiting RedCrossBlood.org or calling 1-800-RED-CROSS.
