Streator council members to deliberate over membership with North Central Illinois Economic Development Corporation

STREATOR – The city of Streator is considering joining The North Central Illinois Economic Development Corporation. President and CEO of NCIEDC, Mike Kirchhoff was introduced to the committee members at Tuesday afternoon’s committee of the whole meeting after recommendations by City Manager David Plyman to join the corporation. Plyman believes participating in conjunction with NCIEDC, Livingston County Economic Development Council and Starved Rock County Alliance would offer a well-rounded development program for the city. Mayor Lansford says he would like the be associated with all three groups and will take the proposal under advisement. Streator’s membership fee with NCIEDC would be just over $17,000 annually.
