Livingston County COVID-19 vaccination update

PONTIAC – The Livingston County Health Department (LCHD) continues to make progress administering the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine to those eligible Livingston County residents. As of January 13, 2021 the LCHD has received 700 doses of the Moderna vaccine and have administered 560 doses to those that qualify, with the remaining doses already scheduled for administration. “While it has been difficult given the unknowns of when and how much vaccine we’ll receive in deliveries from the State, we are confident in our ability to distribute the vaccine quickly and efficiently to our residents and county workers,” said Jackie Dever, LCHD Administrator. “We understand the importance of this vaccine in our communities and we ask for the public’s
patience as we work to distribute the vaccine.” The COVID-19 vaccine will be administered in Livingston County in accordance with the phases as recommended by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH). The initial phase of vaccine distribution, known as Phase 1A, includes healthcare providers (including but not limited to: clinicians, dentists, EMS, etc.), caregivers, clergy, and long-term care facilities.
