29 new COVID-19 cases, one death in Livingston County


 
PONTIAC – Twenty-nine residents of Livingston County have tested positive for COVID-19 (coronavirus disease). Sadly, one more resident has also died due to complications related to COVID-19. The individual was a male in his 60s. Livingston County Health Department (LCHD) officials were notified of the new COVID-19 cases and death on February 4, 2021 in accordance with state and local public health protocol. LCHD officials continue to work closely with the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH), and have investigated and notified any individuals who may have had exposure to these individuals who tested positive for COVID-19. As of February 4, 2021, the LCHD has received 66,332 COVID-19 test results. Of that, 3,978 COVID-19 tests have been positive, 62,354 tests were negative, 3,776 of the previously reported cases have been removed from isolation, 132 cases remain active, and, sadly, 70 cases have
