STREATOR – The Sandy Ford Bridge carrying County Highway 5 over the Vermillion River will be closed for a few days while crews remove trees. The LaSalle County Highway Department announced that beginning Monday at 6 AM through at least Friday at 4 PM the bridge will be closed. Unlike previous work on the bridge, it will not be reopened nightly. Motorists are advised to use alternative routes.
Weekdays 12 a.m. to 5 a.m.
