MENDOTA – City of Mendota employees will be out and about replacing outdated water meters, and the Mendota Police Department wants residents to know it is ok to call them if you have concerns. All city employees will possess the proper identification, paperwork and credentials explaining why entry to your home may be required to update water meters, but if you have any doubts please contact the Mendota Police at (815)539-9331. They say they would be happy to verify the employee at your door is an employee of the city of Mendota.
