STREATOR – Streator City Council gave the green light to implement no parking in certain areas. Following complaints from residents and public works employees, there will no longer be parking along River Avenue from LaSalle Street to Court Street, no parking along Hoyne Street from 12th to James Street and no parking on the east side of Coal Street south from Charles Street up to the dead end. The decision was also made to ensure emergency vehicles and snow plowing access along Hoyne Street. Police will be able to give parking tickets after signage has been up for 10 days.
